The only takedowns, I ever do are shooting for a single:
Run the pipe…into a double leg…into a high crotch.
Looking to expand on this a bit, since I can never shoot fast enough to pull these off in wrestling. Sometimes I can, if I can use punches to set up the takedown.
Here are some takedowns that could perhaps be used from an overhook/wizzer position (as opposed to the tie-up in this video):
Use the wizzer to drive down and push into the opponent.
If the wizzer throw doesn’t work, you can go for a lateral drop, but then it gets a bit risky. Unless your this dude:
Use the underhook, get as ‘close in’ as possible with your feet, and (if using the right hand as an underhook) keep rotating and land on your left deltoid. By the looks of it anyway, not tried this myself.
Another way to set up a takedown from an over/under position is to pull on the opponent’s lat’ with your underhook hand, and step back with your foot on the same side.
This should bring his right foot forward, you can then look to attack this in various ways; such as an inside trip, or something like this:
and finally, here’s a cool technique to try from a collar tie:
