Really interesting podcast, one of my faves over the last few months.
To summarise:
Kyle wanted to improve mentally and physically as much as possible when he was fighting. So whilst a lot of fighters would chill out and play video games after training, he would read books. Books on sports nutrition and psychology for example.
He’s a big advocate of the ketogenic diet, something the Mark Sisson is also a fan of. He uses MCTs but warns that you have to build up your tolerance to them, if you eat too much straight away, you’ll end up pooping yourself.
Kyle is a big fan of Kelly Starrett, of Supple Leopard fame, stating that his mobility exercises sorted out his injured shoulder.
Kyle is also big into psychedelics, stating that mushrooms taught him about his fear of confrontation
