According to Mark’s Primal Eating Plan:

Protein take priority

Carbohydrate drives insulin drives fat” – ideally energy should come from dietary stored fat

You should limit your carbs to only those you need to provide glucose for the brain and for limited amounts of anaerobic (explosive and short) exercise

Learn to love fats – they have limited impact on insulin and are therefore a more healthy form of energy than carbs
