{"id":11053,"date":"2019-08-30T18:39:12","date_gmt":"2019-08-30T18:39:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blackbeltwhitehat.com\/?p=11053"},"modified":"2019-08-30T18:39:12","modified_gmt":"2019-08-30T18:39:12","slug":"tofu-chickpea-curry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blackbeltwhitehat.com\/en\/2019\/08\/30\/tofu-chickpea-curry\/","title":{"rendered":"Tofu &amp; Chickpea Curry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1 large bloke tofu<\/li><li>1 Yellow Pepper<\/li><li>1 Red Onion (cut into half moons<\/li><li>1 clove of Garlic<\/li><li>1 Small carton Passata<\/li><li>1 veg stock cube<\/li><li>1 Can of Chickpeas (drained)<\/li><li>1 Tablespoon curry powder<\/li><li>1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds<\/li><li>2 Hand-full Spinach<\/li><li>1 Hand-full fresh coriander<\/li><li>Salt &amp; Pepper (to taste)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. Heat a little oil over a medium heat. Break up tofu block into small pieces (use hands) and fry until slightly brown<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. Add chopped onions, pepper, mustard seeds and garlic and cook for 5 mins. (Until onions have softened)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. Add curry powder . Stir and cook for 1 min then add chickpeas and passata and cook for a further minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. Add 250 ml of hot water with veg stock pot and reduce heat. Cook for 15-20 mins<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. Add your spinach until wilted, take off the heat. Roughly chop coriander. Season with salt and pepper then lastly add the coriander. Stir and serve<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Serve with brown\/basmati rice<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img
