Don&#8217;t label them, or think on them too much, just hear them. \u00a0Then for the count of 10 just feel everything. Not people though, don&#8217;t feel people. What I mean is, feel the wind on your hands and face, the ground underneath your feet and hug a tree if you get chance too.<\/p>\n<p>Then for a third count of 10, just take in all that you can see. I spent about 2\u00a0minutes staring at tree today, it was ace. And a very cheap form of entertainment. \u00a0Finally do the same thing, but try smelling &#8211; I usually last for a 5 count on this one, as the smells tend to be less diverse, but certainly worth doing.<\/p>\n<p>I guess you could do this with any task, from washing your hands, to getting the bus to work. \u00a0It&#8217;s inline with Eckhart Tolle&#8217;s line of thinking, that no task is a means to an end. Every task has inherent pleasure within it, but most of us are thinking past that task. \u00a0For example, what you need to do once you&#8217;ve taken the dog for a walk &#8211; rather than focusing on the walk, and being mindful, and in the present.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Always mean to get round to that meditation lark, but never have time?
