Peel the carrots and chop them.<\/p>\n<p>Place all the ingredients in a slow cooker and leave to cook for around 10 hours or, in a crockpot on a low heat in an conventional oven for 8 hours<\/p>\n<p>Strain the cooked contents through a sieve, and throw away any solids.
