El ejercicio debe realizarse a baja intensidad durante unos 40 a 60 minutos. Caminar es muy recomendable para las personas con diabetes tipo II. Pero recuerda, estas solo empeorar\u00e1n si no haces ejercicio ni dieta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las personas con neuropat\u00eda deben evitar actividades que provoquen un aumento de la presi\u00f3n arterial sist\u00f3lica de 180 a 200 mmHg (la sist\u00f3lica es la primera lectura que se registra en un monitor). Quienes presenten enfermedades renales en etapas avanzadas deben realizar ejercicio de menor intensidad con la aprobaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las personas con retinopat\u00eda deben limitar la presi\u00f3n arterial sist\u00f3lica a 20-30 mmHg por encima de la presi\u00f3n basal durante cada sesi\u00f3n de entrenamiento. La neuropat\u00eda auton\u00f3mica interfiere con la regulaci\u00f3n de la frecuencia card\u00edaca al reducir la frecuencia card\u00edaca m\u00e1xima y la presi\u00f3n arterial, y aumentar la frecuencia card\u00edaca. La actividad f\u00edsica para estas personas debe centrarse en actividades diarias de bajo nivel, donde se puedan adaptar cambios leves en la frecuencia card\u00edaca y la presi\u00f3n arterial.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La neuropat\u00eda perif\u00e9rica afecta la parte inferior de las piernas y los pies, provocando p\u00e9rdida de sensibilidad. Se deben realizar actividades sin carga de peso. Se recomienda usar calzado adecuado para las actividades diarias y examinar los pies a diario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nefropat\u00eda. A\u00fan no se ha demostrado si los cambios en la presi\u00f3n arterial inducidos por el ejercicio exacerban la progresi\u00f3n de la nefropat\u00eda. Si padece esta afecci\u00f3n, le recomendamos consultar a su m\u00e9dico de cabecera (como deber\u00eda hacerlo de todos modos). Las personas con diabetes tipo II deben controlar su glucosa antes y despu\u00e9s del ejercicio para comprender c\u00f3mo responden a ciertos tipos de actividades. Adem\u00e1s, es importante hacer ejercicio con un compa\u00f1ero y usar una pulsera de identificaci\u00f3n que indique su condici\u00f3n diab\u00e9tica. Las personas con diabetes tipo II deben consultar a su m\u00e9dico antes de comenzar un programa de actividad f\u00edsica y deben regresar regularmente para evaluar el estado de las complicaciones diab\u00e9ticas. Se recomienda realizar entrenamiento de resistencia al menos dos veces por semana como parte de un programa completo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Se debe realizar un m\u00ednimo de 8 ejercicios que involucren los principales grupos musculares, con 12 a 15 repeticiones cercanas a la fatiga. Se debe tener precauci\u00f3n, especialmente con los ejercicios de resistencia, debido a los posibles aumentos a corto plazo de la presi\u00f3n arterial. Limitar la cantidad de ejercicios isom\u00e9tricos, el agarre sostenido, el levantamiento de pesas por encima de la cabeza y usar una intensidad moderada ayudar\u00e1 a evitar problemas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Riesgos y complicaciones del ejercicio <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El ejercicio de intensidad moderada aumenta la captaci\u00f3n de glucosa entre 2 y 3 mg\/kg\/min por encima de los requerimientos habituales. Las soluciones de carbohidratos de 6 a 81 TP3T se absorben mejor y causan menos molestias estomacales que los refrescos y jugos de fruta comunes, que contienen entre 13 y 141 TP3T. Las reacciones hipogluc\u00e9micas relacionadas con el ejercicio en personas con diabetes tipo 2 son poco frecuentes y se presentan principalmente en personas tratadas con sulfonureas orales. Inicialmente, las personas con diabetes tipo 2 deben realizar actividad f\u00edsica de 10 a 15 minutos por sesi\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lo ideal es aumentarlo a 30 minutos durante un par de semanas. Alternativamente, se pueden acumular 30 minutos realizando 3 sesiones de ejercicio de 10 minutos al d\u00eda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cuando el objetivo deseado es perder peso, las personas deben realizar hasta una hora de ejercicio de intensidad baja a moderada para lograr un gasto de energ\u00eda significativo. Caminar se utiliza a menudo como forma de ejercicio, ya que es de baja intensidad y seguro para la mayor\u00eda de las poblaciones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sin embargo, las personas con neuropat\u00eda perif\u00e9rica o artritis deber\u00edan intentar realizar ejercicios que no impliquen soportar peso, como andar en bicicleta, nadar o realizar actividades acu\u00e1ticas. Al menos 3 o, \u00f3ptimamente, 5 d\u00edas a la semana deber\u00edan incluir sesiones de actividad f\u00edsica. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El efecto agudo del ejercicio sobre la glucemia dura 72 horas despu\u00e9s de la sesi\u00f3n; por lo tanto, para mantener estos beneficios agudos, las personas con diabetes deben hacer ejercicio con regularidad.
