A competi\u00e7\u00e3o no Cowal Highland Gathering atraiu competidores da Esc\u00f3cia, Inglaterra, Pa\u00eds de Gales, Fran\u00e7a, Isl\u00e2ndia e Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n

J\u00e1 pratiquei bastante luta livre (para MMA), mas isso foi incr\u00edvel, e mesmo que eu n\u00e3o tenha me sa\u00eddo muito bem, competir nos Jogos das Terras Altas de Cowal certamente ficar\u00e1 marcado como uma das melhores experi\u00eancias da minha vida:<\/p>\n

Como voc\u00ea pode imaginar, os combates come\u00e7am com ambos os lutadores se agarrando pelas costas um do outro.<\/p>\n

Seu bra\u00e7o direito precisa estar em posi\u00e7\u00e3o de "gancho por baixo" \u2013 ou seja, ele deve passar por baixo do bra\u00e7o esquerdo do advers\u00e1rio (e o bra\u00e7o direito dele deve fazer o mesmo do seu lado esquerdo).
\nVoc\u00ea n\u00e3o pode soltar a pegada, nem colocar nenhuma parte do seu corpo (al\u00e9m dos p\u00e9s) no ch\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Foi uma mudan\u00e7a revigorante competir diante de uma grande plateia, com uma atmosfera fant\u00e1stica e um clima amig\u00e1vel; em vez das multid\u00f5es b\u00eabadas e hostis que costumam frequentar as lutas de MMA no Reino Unido. Os caras que estavam competindo tamb\u00e9m eram \u00f3timos e, sem d\u00favida, poderiam ter me causado um estrago consider\u00e1vel se quisessem. Com a filosofia de n\u00e3o machucar o oponente, e considerando que eu era facilmente superado, n\u00e3o havia muito perigo disso acontecer (felizmente!).<\/p>\n
